The Naja is a well known Navajo symbol; representing something beautiful rising from the ashes. New Life and resilience in the face of unthinkable adversity, an Avalon or rebirth!

This symbol has become very popular in the western world. It is worn as part of the squash blossom necklace and is now being made into many different creative forms. Why not on a hat?

I wanted to pair the Naja with some bright and cheerful beading. Something to resemble New Life! The beading pattern comes from old Navajo blanket designs.
